Today consisted of writing up a small statement to show people what we have come up with in terms of combining ideas for the Curating Dialogues Project, which I typed up in my previous post.
Me and Jane were really glad that we managed to put our ideas into a clear paragraph since it was quite hard trying to phrase it in a way that everyone could understand. I enjoyed walking around to have a look at everybody else's work since it was interesting to see how people who might have had completely opposite ideas still found links and made connections. When we got back to our work we had 2 post it notes that had been left! They were both positive in that they thought we had a great idea although to consider the documentation of the conversation so that we remember what is said, along with what could our piece be? A final image or a sequence? These comments obviously relate to the discussion that will be held which me and Jane have planned but didn't include it in our statement! We thought we only had to focus on the outcome of the whole project, but we will add what we'd like to create to show our conversation into our statement tomorrow. So that makes the post it notes advice a lot clearer since we got ahead of ourselves.
But so far, so good. I'm feeling very positive about this project and I'm pleased that me and Jane have gotten the ball rolling early rather than later. We paid a quick visit to the library today too to see if there were any books to help us out, we found a few but we are going to return there on Thursday. This small project is really helping me out in terms of thinking and processing ideas out quickly, even if they're not perfected or don't make sense straight away because sharing them with someone else is a good way to help resolve them together.
