Geoffrey Farmer - The Surgeon and The Photographer

This is a current exhibition that is on at The Barbican Museum in London. The artist is Geoffrey Farmer and over the space of three years he has created hundreds os puppet like figures, all composed from images cut from old books and magazines, then mounted onto fabric forms. This is also combined alongside a new film commission. His work reminds me a lot of Hannah Hoch and it's really interesting to see how he has turned what is essentially a 2D art form into 3D puppets! I love his surrealism of the figures and his pairing of objects, people and animals.
